Aiming high..
To teach children is to shape generations. We, the teachers and staff and management of V D P M, understand this fully and have shaped our modus operandi accordingly. To spearhead and shepherd today’s students towards tomorrow’s citizens, keeping aloft the flames of education and knowledge and the pursuit of happiness, in tandem with the peaceful secular ethos of our country’s constitution, has been and remains our noble aim. It has been a V D P M policy to approach the act of teaching as a holistic experience in which the school management and the teachers, the governors and the parents work in tandem towards a shared future of capable , confident and tolerant pillars of the society living in the glow of learning and peace.
Five, are our guiding principles towards the fulfilment of our aim:
Providing an environment conductive to learning
We aim to and try to maintain a shared environment of trust and mental stimulation, an atmosphere where the generation gap between teachers and pupils diminish, catalyzing the process of learning itself.
Imparting a love for knowledge
Like the proverbial Samaritan who declines to catch a fish for a hungry man preferring instead to teach the man to catch fishes himself; We at V D P M believe in letting our students develop and explore their own interests with us serving as guides and mentors.
Instilling confidence
Every child is special, and V D P M aims to translate this wonder it feels in every student, in making their charges feel their speciality and their purpose in their days. We believe in instilling confidence, enquiry and self preparedness in our students. We at V D P M further believe that we understand the difference between preaching and teaching and we follow the latter with intellect and hardwork.
Distilling core values
V D P M has a rich history of core values on account of its long run, and we have changed with the times. Mutual respect between the different cogs of the wheel, the teachers, the students, the parents and the staff is enshrined in our history. Unity in diversity and a love of learning are our other cornerstones. We distill these core values of ours in our day to day working, and aim at imparting these to our students.
Introducing collective responsibility
We at V D P M view the world as a system of interconnected islands, all striving towards a greater good. An educated world is a civilizsed world and V D P M takes great pains to introduce and instill a sense of individual self esteem and fraternal responsibility in each of our students, so that they may prosper and with them the entire world.
